The good news is: I finally finished my asymmetric plate wall in my dining room. My dear sister, who was here for Mother’s Day, even approved. And she’s not usually a fan of anything asymmetric.
The bad news is: I fear I may be channeling Mrs. Roper from 3’s Company. I’ve taken ‘house dress’ to a whole new level.
Mrs.Roper never looked so good! I love it š And love the new house and the plates. oh, love it all! Congrats! š
I love the plates on the wall! Classy!
Wow…you do resemble Mrs. Roper! How funny sis! And yes, the plates look great!
Laughing at your Mrs. Roper get up. To be honest you look extremely comfortable and cute as always.
Edie, this is hillarious! I love it! At least your trying to make your comfy clothes have a bit of flair. :)I also love your assymmetric wall decor. I can’t wait to see more pics from the mother’s day tea.
Bhahahahaaaaaah…!!!
Love the plates on the wall. It looks great!!
And I LOVE wearing sweats under my dresses! š It’s the most comfortable house dress out there! And it’s a plus cause you can just strip the sweats before Hubby walks through the door, and you look CUTE! š
I’ll bet the OLDER kids had a fit when they saw you in this! You are still adorable!
Love the plate wall!
You are so much fun! And cool!
Love your plate wall. Well, at least you look cute! š
I love asymmetry! You have inspired meto get a move on and get my plates up (in the kitchen). What have you decided about painting the walls? The sweats? well,…ahem…
Love the wall! I wish I had such a creative eye for those types of things. Sweats and a dress looks so cute and is probably just as comfy! š
Love the outfit. That’s the new fashion don’t you know. You look adorable. I really like the plate wall too. It is just fantastic. Hugs, Marty
Love the plates. LOL really love the house dress.
Holly
Loving the plate wall.
I have to say I do this all the time, with leggings or yoga pants under my dresses because my legs get *cold* in our 1880s house! We’re in good company, aren’t we?
a. love the plates
b. i think you look cute as mrs. roper!
That is hilarious! And you even added the necklace!
LOL!
LOL! That’s great. Sometimes at the end of a day, I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and wonder how my outfit could have evolved over the course of a day.
Love your plate wall and beautiful painting. Are those tissue paper balls in the photo? I keep seeing those everywhere and am so tempted to make a few. I just can’t figure out how to dust them, but then, I doubt a little dust can hurt. š

HAA!! Love it!
I love the wall Edie! As far as the “house dress” {I call mine a moo moo after my mother’s house dresses}LOL there’s nothing wrong with a little layering right?
Lanie
Hi Edie! I love your new banner. The plates look fantastic… I find asymmetric so hard to do right.
Love, Michelle
P.S. Mrs. Roper was kinda hot, no?
I’m loving the plates AND the house dress.
My only advice would be to trade the sweats in for some capri leggings. Still comfy and practical, yet slightly more fashionable. I own a pair and love them. I look feminine yet don’t have to sit all lady like! ;>
God’s blessings,
Sarah š
You’d look lovely in burlap. š
You remind me in looks of Miranda Lambert. Is that her name? I think that’s her name. Country singer. Does those cotton commercials …
oh edie! this is hilarious! especially because i’m linking to you tomorrow about how much i love your outfits! love it!
LOL I love your outfit, Mrs Roper and all! I loved her on that show! And I love your DR wall!! Looks fantastic! I’m waiting with baited breath for your kitchen. I went and priced the doors I was eyeballin’ and almost had cardiac arrest, LOL. There might need to be a plan B, lol! š
Kristi
Sis! I’m not sure how the plates are supposed to look, but YOU look fabulous, my dear!
i love the look. i’ve been wearing dresses over britches for years. . .my hubby always says. . .is that even in style. . .i’ve told him i don’t care. . .but as i get older, i do seem to care what i’m wearing….well, since i’ve had the boys!!!
oh. . . and if everything goes as planned, we are closing on the sale of our old house monday!!!!!! yeah!!!!!! what a blessing!

You can totally pull off that look. I don’t think I could do it on my best day. LOL
Ruth

Don’t worry…I would wear that house dress. Rock it out! Looks comfy. :->
Edie, your blog makes me happy š
How funny! I roam around most days in an old cotton dress, it’s just comfy š
Love your assymetrical plate wall!
Perhaps not…perhaps you just happen to be extrordiarilly honest Edie. Comfort should always rule at home.
Oh, Edie! Did you read the blog of Veith today? (go now if you haven’t) I didn’t even know that CCLA existed! I am elated! Kansas City is only a 2 hour drive for me!
Anxiously awaiting your next home schooling post! You are such an inspiring lady!
God Bless You, Edie! …and that beautiful family of yours!
the plates look great and so do you!
miss you!

I love that wall. And I’m partial to symmetrical things most of the time. Nicely done!
