Oh, I am so happy to read a blog from someone that lives in Houston. You would think
I lived there, but, no, I am from way up in Central New York State. My daughter was a
nurse and the Medical Center down there hired her right from the telephone. She lived there, married, had three sons, and then moved up near Dallas.
I used to love to go down there as my sister married a man from there and they had a place in Sugarland and later in Galveston for over 20 years total.
I don’t think she will ever come back up North as she has a thing about not liking to wear boots !!! It’s just too cold for all of them, now.

I am enjoying your blog and also you kitchen. What a wonderful job you did with it.

Beatty’s chocolate cake from Ina is without doubt the best chocolate cake ever. It never fails. I am loving looking at pictures of your summer. Winter here in Australia and I need some sunshine.

Thank you for posting the recipes, I have been wanting to try making another Homemade Cake but I hope this turns better than the other one’s LOL. I also Love Cheese Danishes hust don’t like spending the money on the prmde on’s & your right this recipe does look easy.

I make the cream cheese dessert all the time. The only difference is I use one egg. It is also a Weight Watchers friendly recipe if you use the “light” cream cream cheese and reduced fat crescent rolls. Only 5 Pts. for Weight watchers.
