There are so many things to love about this guy. He’s rugged, funny, smart, loves football and fishing and good scotch, can name nearly every tree in nature, reads theology books, can water ski and snow ski like a pro, likes classical music and Pearl Jam, and occasionally loses his temper. He’s edgy like that sometimes…..in a masculine, Jesus-and-the-money-changers sort of a way. He has huge biceps and makes you feel like he’d crush anyone who tried to hurt you…….all the things that make a girl go weak in the knees.

What a great man you’ve got there. I love when parents screw up and ask their kids for forgiveness. It shows them that they matter and that you respect them as people too. Sweet story.
OH what a precious daddy he is!
I noticed your comment on Buzzings of a Queen bee….and thought I’d pop over…then as I was reading…. I realized that we must live near each other…as we are in upper east Tn too!!! So…I read through a few of your posts….and to my surprise…you were at our church for the bands performance!!! (We were not there that night though….we were at the beach) And…..one more tidbit….we homeschool too! Now isn’t that just like GOD to cross our paths through the blogging world! I just couldn’t believe it when I saw your picture standing in the foyer of our church!!!
Congratulations to your son’s group on winning the battle of the bands! What a talented young man he is!
I hope you have a wonderful week!
Sweet Blessings,

He does sound like a wonderful guy and a great dad! Thanks for the lesson!
BTW – I tagged you on my blog! Go to the post before todays…
Hi Edie,
What a great post! I love the words you shared in the liturgy reading.
I am glad you stopped by my blog. I sent you an email in response to your question.
You will love working in CS3! I am having too much fun!
Yep – let’s just get it out there…your husband rocks…in a rugged, Jesus and the money changer kind of way. hee hee
The influence that the words of a father have….powerful!!
I love this. We just heard a sermon at church yesterday about forgiveness and how important it is as parents for us to model how to ask for forgiveness. Your kids (and you!) are so lucky to have a man who will do this. God love him!

What a guy. Hey! I went a little weak in the knees reading about him. But in a masculine sort of way. (Hee Hee)
What a great guy you have….that is a blessing! Great story!
